MCL....d next big thing...!!!
I know this blog is coming up late...so late , that we have already finished with MCL 2!!
Now, u must be wondering what dis MCL is..???
to clear d air between us..MCL stands for MAIET Carrom League...!
The first season started off with a spontaneity..and it went amazingly well...
There was a small participation...mere 4 teams..but yes the competetion was pretty much intense..giving us a surprise winners - RONAK and NITISH...
Looking at the interest of people post tourney, it was decided to inaugarate MCL 2 within a week's time!!
And as expected MCL 2 went bigger and better this tym..with 6 teams fighting for the honor! :P
WHOOOOOAAAAAAAAA......wat a competetion it was..i bet it was better than the IPL 2..infact the teams were being compared to the teams from IPL, based on dere performance!!
The defending champions (RONAK & NITISH) were surely Rajasthan Royals, who struggled to win there first match in the MCL 2 league..and finally were kicked out of the semis!
Then we had CHUCK & SUJIN, who won their first match with a large margin and then struggled through the rest of the league to win their second...dats Kolkata Night Rider's style...ain't it??
There was yet another team ANSHU & AROHIT who seemed to loose none of the matches..and made it clearly itno the semis, the first team to cross the league!! - HAIL DECCAN CHARGERS!!
The team that had me i.e. ANUJAY & ANOOP, believed in striking a balance between there wins and losses...but managed to make it to the semi-finals...u can call that...???...mmmmm...may be King's XI Punjab??
And then there was a team with good players but bad luck..this team could have easily won all the matches it played, but seemed like the luck did not support them. I recall Mumbai Indians to be one such tym in IPL. The Mumbai Indians of MCL 2 had ASHISH & ANKIT as team players...
Last but not the least..a team with the top performers...ROHIT & PREM, who simply were unbeatable...the other teams were ready to give them win-bye rather than playing with them and losing there honor...this has to be the DELHI DAREDEVILS..
The scorecard was so damn interesting..unbelievable..it wasnt sure for who is making it to semis and who is not till the last match of the league!!!
Since it went all the way like IPL 2 in the leagues..it had to go similar way in the rest of the tourney too!!
The winners came out to be DECCAN CHARGERS in IPL 2 as well as MCL 2...Look up for the team titled DEccan in our MCL 2..
Now, here on this blog..i announce the entries open for MCL 3, which is coming soon enuff..and m sure dis is getting even better..!!!
To close up abt dis MCL 2..I wud like to remind u of a few lines from some great person (who's name i dont really remember!! ;))
